About Us

We are Marty and Jo Lynn Spurgeon we have always enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake. Our dream began just a few years ago (2008) when we decided to sell our farm, leave the security of our long-time employment and build Mill Springs RV Resort. Our farm was located in Cooper County, nestled close to Gooch's Mill which lies between Boonville, Prairie Home and Wooldridge about 20 miles west of Columbia, Missouri. It's a picturesque place where we enjoyed raising our family, we have a lot of friends and memories that will never be forgotten. It's certainly unbelievable how everything fell into place. First selling our farm (Thanks Carl 99) and then finding the perfect property to build our park. Upon completion, our park will consist of 86 sites and 45 storage units.

Jo Lynn was employed at Shelter Insurance, home office in Columbia. She worked and advanced her career during her 28 years with the company. Retiring from the Actuarial Dept. where she was Executive Secretary to the Executive VP of that Department.

Marty enjoyed working at Columbia College, where he gained experience as the Associate Director of Projects and Safety along with his years of experience as a carpenter and home builder was helpful as they designed and built the RV Park.
